The Amazon Devices team is at the forefront of designing and engineering cutting-edge consumer electronics and software. Our portfolio includes revolutionary products such as Fire Tablets, Fire TV, Kindle, Ring, and Alexa.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Localization Program Manager with a proven history of delivering results, taking ownership, and executing international projects across software and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather business and system requirements from internal stakeholders, develop project plans, and manage project timelines from development commitment to release.
  • Lead and coordinate design and implementation initiatives to create optimal solutions that support the localization program across engineering, editorial, and quality assurance teams.
  • Collaborate with content creators, customer strategy leaders, and content infrastructure teams to define and enhance processes upstream while promoting internationalization best practices.
  • Effectively communicate roadmaps, progress updates, risks, and change management to senior leadership and internal cross-functional project teams.
  • Oversee, execute, and manage traditional localization program management tasks, including defining localization scope with stakeholders, coordinating handoffs with language service providers, and supporting the deployment of localized assets, along with bug fixing, implementation, and testing.
  • Assess and make informed trade-offs to optimize delivery timelines.

About the Team:

The DS2 Localization team is responsible for delivering software and content localization solutions across various Amazon Devices, including Alexa (voice and UI), FireTV (devices and televisions), Tablets, Kindle eReaders, Ring, eero, and more.

Our team comprises program managers, linguistic editors, localization engineers, quality assurance professionals, and managers, primarily located in diverse regions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of program or project management experience.
  • Proven experience in process development, project management, and scheduling.
  • Strong background in complex problem-solving and working within tight deadlines.
  • Experience in implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
  • Proficient in stakeholder management, engaging with multiple stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading process improvements.
  • Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proven track record in driving end-to-end delivery and communicating outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Over 3 years of localization experience.
