Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operations Handler to join our team at FedEx. As an Operations Handler, you will be responsible for handling packages within our operations, including manual handling, sort activities, screening, and completing related administration or paperwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Package Handling: Provide efficient and safe delivery and pickup of packages, ensuring proper labeling, legality of content, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Package Screening: Conduct thorough checks on packages to ensure accurate and secure handling, including weight, size, and special requirements for hazardous material shipments.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary paperwork, such as airway bills, delivery records, and vehicle condition reports, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Customer Service: Seek additional business from current customers and inform Station Ops Manager and Sales of changes in customer/competitor efforts.
  • Vehicle Operations: Load and unload company aircraft and vehicles in a safe manner, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Sorting and Auditing: Audit size and weight of packages and boxes, and sort them accordingly.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure the use of safety equipment and full compliance with FedEx safety policies, procedures, norms, rules, and practices.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Operate company vehicles in a safe and secure manner, and perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, washing, and tire pressure checks.
Requirements
  • Education: Middle School degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Experience operating ramp and warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment, basic English skills, and strong problem-solving and team-working skills.
