Senior Data Analytics Engineer

The Senior Data Analytics Engineer will be part of the Embedded Business Unit's (EBU) Business Operations team. In this role, you will deliver advanced data, tools and automation to expand capabilities and enable team members within EBU to execute their roles efficiently. You will explore and introduce new and creative ideas and support strategies that help the business grow efficiently, effectively, and profitably.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Using modern AI/ML/Data Science tools and techniques to develop solutions for analyzing business and manufacturing data
    • Staying up-to-date on Micron database systems and architecture to enable the best possible solutions
      • Partner with team members throughout EBU to develop solutions that target specific problems
        • Partner with teams outside of EBU to stay updated on developments within Micron such as best known methods and related projects
          • Work with both structured and unstructured data to provide insights
            • Identifying areas of the business where AI-driven analysis can enhance processes through efficiency and/or accuracy
              • Build both ad-hoc and long-term solutions as required by the business

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field of study is required
    • 5 years relevant experience
      • Proficiency with statistical analysis and methods
        • Proficiency with both qualitative and quantitative analysis methods
          • Proficiency with Python and/or R languages
            • Proficiency with SQL
              • Familiarity with Git version control systems/concepts (Github, Bitbucket, etc.)
                • General Business Intelligence & Analytics concepts
                  • Competency with data visualization tools, including Power BI, Tableau and other web-based applications
                    • Demonstrated discernment and inclination to quickly learn to bridge knowledge gaps
                      • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task
                        • Exceptional communication skills

The specified role does not encompass the following responsibilities: Finalization of sales agreements or the execution of sales contracts is prohibited. The role also does not carry the authority to make definitive decisions regarding contracts, be it their conclusion or termination. Furthermore, the role is not designed to involve participation in pricing negotiations or the authorization of contracts. These activities fall beyond the permissible duties of the position.
