Electrical Field Service Commissioning Engineer

As an Electrical Field Service Commissioning Engineer with Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in representing the Electrical Commissioning Group on global project assignments. Your primary responsibility will be to commission Siemens Energy scope on large-scale projects, such as world-class low-emission power plants, grid stabilizing systems, and battery energy storage systems. This will contribute significantly to the energy transition, ensuring trouble-free operation of electrical equipment supplied by Siemens Energy.
In a multinational team on-site, you will commission individual components or entire systems and ensure the quality of our services. Your feedback of on-site experience to the engineering teams will ensure that our products are subject to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Active commissioning of electrical components and systems, including transformers, high/low voltage and DC systems, protection systems, frequency converters, and excitation equipment.
- Carrying out initial or repeat tests on electrical protection and control systems, as well as system optimization and troubleshooting.
- Commissioning of electrical control systems with associated HMI.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc or MSc) preferably with a focus on power engineering, or professional experience gained through several years of work in a similar field.
- 3-5 years of mandatory experience in commissioning of high voltage/low voltage/DC systems or commissioning of electrical protection systems (e.g., SIPROTEC or similar) or commissioning of start-up frequency converters/excitation equipment, preferably on power plants.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Flexibility and willingness to participate in international assignments (typical duration 2 to 12 months).
- Self-sufficient, independent, quality-oriented personality. Team player mindset, excellent adaptability. Ability to lead and possess leadership skills.
- Decisiveness and openness to other cultures.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must.
Travel Requirements For this vacancy, it is necessary to be available to travel up to 90% of the time, working on assignments in different countries.
