Mainframe Technical Support Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Lead to join our team at Citi.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications, ensuring quick resolutions to app issues and driving stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements.
- Perform start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover to ensure seamless support services.
- Develop and maintain technical support documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Assess risk and impact of production issues, escalating to business and technology management in a timely manner.
- Partner with development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements.
- Engage in post-implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality.
- Act as a liaison between users, internal technology groups, and vendors, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Expected to raise problems to appropriate technology and business teams, adhering to Service Level Agreements.
- Act as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts, providing guidance and support.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in an Application Support role, with advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, issue tracking, and reporting using tools, with knowledge/experience of problem management tools.
- Good all-around technical skills, with the ability to plan and organize workload and communicate effectively to relevant stakeholders.
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, with a strong foundation in computer science or a related field.
