About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team at Reser's Fine Foods, Inc. as an Operations Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a weekly maintenance schedule through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). You will review work requests/orders for accuracy and clarity daily, plan work through kitting of parts, creating accurate job plans, and lining up resources.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish and Maintain Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Business Flow Process

Effectively administer a CMMS to establish, maintain, and improve the maintenance planning and scheduling business flow process.

Prepare Reports and Analyze Data

Analyze data and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.

Capture and Report Key Performance Indicators

Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, departmental performance, planning, and scheduled business flow process.

Schedule Maintenance Work

Schedule maintenance work into production plan.

Plan and Schedule Preventive Maintenance Tasks

Plan and schedule preventive maintenance tasks for production equipment based on OEM recommendations.

Develop Cost and Time Estimates

Develop cost and time estimate of planned maintenance work.

Review Maintenance Procedures

Review applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality.

Manage Equipment Maintenance History and Jobs Records

Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and jobs records database.

Improve Planning, Scheduling, and Data Management Systems

Continually improve planning, scheduling, data management, and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency.

Collaborate Across Departments

Collaborate across departments to schedule manpower, resources, and asset availability for planned maintenance work.

Requirements
  1. High Regard for Safe Work Practices

Education and Experience

High School diploma required. 3 years of working experience in maintenance planning is preferred.

Manufacturing and Maintenance Background

Manufacturing and maintenance background which may include basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, controls systems, boilers, welding, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

CMMS Administration Experience

Prior CMMS administration experience required.

Communication and Computer Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills including MS Excel and CMMS software and report writing skills.

Project Management Skills

Ability to apply knowledge of standards, methods, and procedures to work situation. Strong project management skills to include organization, time management, attention to detail, and fast-paced environment.

Teamwork and Adaptability

Ability to work independently and effectively while being a team player. Willing to work extended hours to achieve tight deadlines.

Warehouse and production environment.

Physical Demands

The environment may be wet or dry, and temperatures may range from 0°F to 110°F. Repetitive hand, wrist, and finger activities. Repetitive lifting, kneeling, and bending with packages in excess of 50 lbs. is required.

Production demands may require overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling.
