Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead to join our team at myGwork - LGBTQ+ Business Community. As a key member of our manufacturing engineering department, you will be responsible for leading and managing the team to ensure efficient and effective operations.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, with experience in leading teams and implementing process improvements. They will be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

The role will involve:

  • Leading the manufacturing engineering team to achieve operational excellence
  • Developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Identifying and addressing technical issues
  • Maintaining high-quality standards
Responsibilities
  1. Lead the manufacturing engineering team to achieve operational excellence by identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes
  2. Work closely with the test and quality engineering leads to optimize processes and improve efficiency
  3. Manage day-to-day activities and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
  4. Display expert knowledge of the corporate manufacturing environment and share information with the manufacturing engineering function
  5. Drive efficiencies in current technical systems and manage the development of new technical systems
  6. Support the engineering manager in evaluating equipment needs and labour forecasting
  7. Undertake technology benchmarking and drive 'best in class' engineering solutions
  8. Lead and manage the manufacturing engineering function
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a leadership role
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with process improvement and change management
  • Knowledge of FUJI platform (NEXIM) programming and troubleshooting
