Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our Nidec Aerospace team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for aerospace electrical motors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment used in electrical motor production. They will be proficient in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and other engineering tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and improve complex processes are essential.
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for electrical motors, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards.
- Procuring manufacturing machinery and equipment, either by purchasing or by coordinating design and integration that meet safety standards and product requirements.
- Analyzing and improving production workflows, equipment, and tooling to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Leading and supporting engineering projects from conception through production, including process development, equipment selection, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinating with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new motor designs and modifications.
- Establishing and monitoring quality control measures to ensure products meet aerospace quality standards and specifications.
- Supporting quality department on investigating and resolving quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Providing technical support and training to production staff to ensure proper operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshooting and resolving equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including process instructions, work instructions, and process control plans.
- Preparing and presenting reports on process performance, project status, and improvement initiatives.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Conducting root cause analysis and implementing solutions to address manufacturing challenges and inefficiencies.
