About the Role

As a Senior Product Development Manager at Community Phone, you will be responsible for leading our engineering team in scaling our products to support 100,000+ customers. You will focus on growing to become an owner of one or two high-level outcomes, such as reducing support tickets, app usage and growth, and phone service availability.

You will participate in designing the best product for our customers, being an active voice in the decision of what to build and why. This includes following best practices, building and deploying features end-to-end, owning key product metrics, and supporting your team by participating in thoughtful code reviews and feedback sessions.

We are looking for someone with 6+ years of software engineering experience, with a particular focus on usability, front-end, product design, and information architecture. You should be well-versed across the stack from using Typescript to Python and/or Go, collaborative, and enjoy working with multiple teams. Excellent communication skills are required, with native or close to-native English skills. Results-driven individuals who enjoy a fast-paced environment are ideal for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in designing the best product for our customers
  • Follow best practices, including accompanying (nearly) every PR with tests
  • Build and deploy features end-to-end, making a significant impact on our company goals and our product
  • Own key product metrics, like % of customers who take a certain action within the app
  • Support your team by participating in thoughtful code reviews and feedback sessions
