- Develop and modify mechanical parts, assemblies, and drawings in CAD systems such as Creo and Solid Edge.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials and unit configurator logic to ensure accurate selection of BOMs based on customer options.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Manufacturing, Service, and Quality teams to design products that meet their needs.
- Provide technical support for prototype builds and assist in resolving issues that arise during production.
- Gather feedback from prototype builds and field trials, and implement necessary improvements to the product.
- Analyze test data, diagnose issues, and determine changes to improve performance.
- Conduct thermal system modeling to optimize system performance and select appropriate parts.
- Determine control routines needed to achieve optimal system operation and meet customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts, products, and safety standards.
- Experience with CAD tools, including Solid Edge, Creo, and Solid Works.
- Familiarity with Sheetmetal, piping, and assemblies is an asset.
- Data-entry systems experience, including Oracle and Agile.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to solve complex problems quickly and methodically.
- Detail-oriented and excellent planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in cross-functional global development teams.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
- Must be able to work in lab or production facility environments to diagnose and resolve problems.
