About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Query Tuning Specialist to join our team at LTI.

  • The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Database SQL and a strong understanding of query tuning principles.
  • Key responsibilities include writing complex queries, joining concepts, and utilizing analytical functions to optimize database performance.
  • Apart from query optimization, the specialist will also focus on ingestion performance tuning for insert and update data, using Autotrace and explain plan.
  • The role requires expertise in interpreting various SQL stats generated from Autotrace plan outputs and modifying predictive plans by changing join and access methods.
  • In addition, the specialist will need to utilize optimizer hints to improve or change predictive plan outputs for both select and ingestion of data.
  • Minimum level of reading and predicting AWR statistics is required to understand performance issues in DB or SQL.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Hands-on experience with Oracle Database SQLStrong understanding of query tuning principlesExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex queriesGood communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
