Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Strategic Metalworks Procurement Specialist to join our team at Alfa Laval. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, leveraging your commercial expertise to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

About the Role

This position will be responsible for managing procurement processes, negotiating contracts, and developing strategic relationships with suppliers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in metalworking industry and experience in sourcing, procurement, and supplier development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Process Management: Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment while maintaining quality and cost standards.
  • Sourcing and Supplier Development: Identify and develop new suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Contract Management: Analyze and evaluate contract proposals, negotiate terms and conditions, and manage contract execution.
  • Business Analysis and Improvement: Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to achieve business objectives.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 8 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, and/or supplier development.
  • Proven knowledge of metalwork industry fabrication processes, materials, and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and negotiate contracts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build strong relationships.
  • Able to travel frequently (40%).

Location and Benefits

As a member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary package, including a base salary of approximately $120,000 per year, as well as benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
