About the Role

We are seeking skilled engineers to contribute to the Oracle Cloud's Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives. As part of a dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the IAM services that support our cloud infrastructure. Ideal candidates are those who possess a strong desire to learn, challenge existing paradigms, and have a solid background in building API services using Java or C#.

Understanding IAM at Oracle Cloud

Identity and Access Management (IAM) is essential for regulating access to cloud resources. Within the Cloud Platform division, our team is tasked with designing and implementing core services utilized by both internal and external clients.

The Identity Control Plane team focuses on managing CRUD API operations for all identity-related entities, including users, groups, policies, and compartments, ensuring consistency and reliability across global regions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in distributed service engineering within a software development context.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining highly available, high-traffic web services.
  • Experience in developing service-oriented architectures and RESTful APIs.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, C#, or other object-oriented languages.
  • Familiarity with at least one scripting language for automation and command-line tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in Identity and Access Management.
  • Hands-on experience in developing services on public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle).
  • Understanding of multi-availability domain/zone and regional data center architectures.
  • Experience in building continuous integration and deployment pipelines with effective testing and deployment strategies.
  • Proficiency with Docker.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and translate their needs into prioritized tasks or features.
  • Expertise in threat modeling and risk identification to create security solutions.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, PCI DSS, or similar.
  • Experience working with large enterprise clients.
