Join LHR Americas in our search for a highly skilled Senior Geologist to lead our Unconventional Resource Assessment and Data Solution Division (URADSD). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the unconventional portfolio through technical, risk, resource, and commerciality assessments and strategic plans to support the de-risking of unconventional fields from exploration to development.
Key Responsibilities:- Geological technical assessments of resource plays to ensure productivity and risk assessments to identify gaps in knowledge and quantify COS.
- Resource assessments to confirm value and support reserve estimation.
- Geologically support reservoir engineering with commerciality assessments.
- Strategic planning and monitoring to ensure the best plays are being de-risked and targets are being met.
- Work closely with the Exploration & Characterization Divisions to support planning and execution of wells.
- Effectively communicate through presentations and written reports to technical peers and management.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics or related sciences; advanced degree is preferred.
- 15 years of experience, with at least 5-10 years in unconventional plays, including shale or tight gas exploration, development, or strategic planning, across multiple unconventional hydrocarbon basins.
- Solid background in the play-based approach to evaluate tight sand and shale plays, evaluation of risk, and resource assessment within unconventional.
- Experience in managing and de-risking a portfolio of tight sand or shale opportunities from exploration through development.
- Monthly Base Salary – aligned with company employees with similar skills.
- Monthly Over base – 25% of your monthly base salary.
- Benefits Supplement – 20% of your monthly base salary, with increases based on years of service.
- Severance Package – year 2 to 5: 2 weeks' pay for each year of service, Year 6+: 4 weeks' pay for each year after.
- Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) (eligible after 12 months of service).
- Incentive Plan – annual; based on performance.
- Travel Allowance – annual; approx. $8,200 per household member over 11 years old.
- Vacation & Paid Holidays – 38 vacation days / 4 travel days / 11-13 paid holidays.
- Medical/Dental Plan – complimentary in-Kingdom medical care/facilities for employees and eligible family members.
- Educational Assistance Plan (EAP) – Out of Kingdom Assistance: 90% of expenses with a maximum per child.
- Settling in Allowance – one-time payment; Family Status - 100% of monthly base salary; Single/Bachelor Status – 60% of monthly base salary.
