Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Components Engineer to join our team at MAHLE Compresores in Juárez, MX. As a key member of our Quality Management department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our electrical components.
Key Responsibilities
- Approve supplier sourcing nominations for new projects to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage Advanced Project Quality Planning (APQP) for projects in development, ensuring timely completion.
- Coordinate Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP) activities for projects in development, auditing supplier manufacturing capabilities.
- Manage supplier escalations within the supplier quality organization, communicating and interfacing with suppliers.
Requirements
- Engineering degree in mechatronics, electrical, or electronics.
- At least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on quality.
- In-depth knowledge of quality and reliability methodologies, including simulation, CAE, and functional safety.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes for electric/electronic assemblies, including PCB assembly, ESD, and high-voltage technology.
- VDA 6.3 certification is preferred.
- Full knowledge of automotive core tools, including APQP, PPAP, and R&R.
- Desirable to have Six Sigma training (Green Belt).
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Suite.
- Availability to travel to supplier manufacturing locations.
