The Commodity Acquisition Manager at Emerson will oversee the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to manage commercial supplier relationships, supplier performance, and cost management of assigned categories. This role requires strong leadership and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Main Responsibilities:
• Directly manage and develop a team of sourcing professionals to achieve business objectives and improve category performance.
• Develop and implement effective processes for managing supplier performance, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Analyze market trends and develop forecasts to inform sourcing decisions and optimize category spend.
• Collaborate with global procurement teams to share best practices and drive consistency across regions.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements that meet business needs.
• Continuously monitor and report on category performance, providing insights and recommendations to drive improvement.
