Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team based out of our Queretaro office. As a Driver Training Specialist, you will be responsible for cultivating and sustaining a positive culture, quality performance, safe environment, and a positive, professional driver experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate and sustain a positive culture, quality performance, safe environment, and a positive, professional driver experience.
- Manage drivers' hours to minimize overtime while maintaining established customer service and delivery metrics.
- Conduct background checks, perform road tests for drivers, and provide them with proper training as required.
- Ensure compliance with all company, client, OSHA, and Department of Transportation regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct, review, and document facility safety inspections and assist in the correction of deficiencies.
- Investigate vehicle accidents and employee injuries.
- Prepare and submit related reports as required.
- Develop local accident and injury prevention plans & programs.
- Schedule and present training/orientation programs.
- Conduct monthly employee/driver safety meetings.
Requirements
- Fluent English is a must.
- 3 to 5 years in safety & training (transportation industry preferred).
- Good knowledge about operational process, trucks rules and regulations.
- Previous experience in driver training, safety & compliance is an asset.
- Safety driven with expertise in HOS, DOT regulations, and driver welfare.
- At least three years of truck driving experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to train, prioritize, multitask, and adapt to changing rules.
- Must have a solid understanding of the trucking industry.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
