Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Jabil. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account for accruals and prepayments, ensuring that our P&L and balance sheet are prepared and submitted on time.
  • Review and analyze travel expenses, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to our Financial Manager, highlighting any significant problem areas.
  • Account for and reconcile inter-company transactions, ensuring that our financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide cost center reports to our functional managers, including narrative explanations to support our financial data.
  • Support our Financial Manager in providing general financial guidance and advice.
  • Produce insurance reports and submit them to our corporate office.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant duty legislation, producing and reviewing returns in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile VAT and duty statements, ensuring that our financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide accurate duty information to our importers and internal customers, as required.
  • Review and report on weekly financial indicators to our corporate office.
  • Follow up on all issues raised during month-end, investigating and reporting on any discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Ability to effectively present financial information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and read and understand visual aids.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Accounting basics knowledge, including financial statements and intermediate Excel skills.
  • Experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable or both.
