We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Development Engineer to join our Product Development team at Resideo. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing firmware solutions for our electronic products.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with hardware product design engineers and software developers to design and develop firmware solutions.
- Work with marketing to define product and system requirements.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure customer needs are represented in new and improved designs.
- Develop and maintain firmware for embedded systems using C/C++ languages.
- Design and implement communication protocols such as RS-232, SPI, and I2C.
- Work with custom hardware and use tools like logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, debuggers, and protocol analyzers.
- Implement and update firmware for microcontrollers from NXP, STM, Texas Instruments, ESP, and Renesas.
- Develop and maintain documentation for firmware solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in embedded software development using C/C++ languages and product development.
- Proficiency with 8, 16, and 32-bit microcontrollers.
- Experience in developing embedded software with RTOS or multitask environments.
- Familiarity with software development processes and associated tools.
- Strong background in electronic circuit analysis and ability to read schematics.
- Experience working with custom hardware and using tools like logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, debuggers, and protocol analyzers.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Master's degree in computer engineering, Electronics Engineering or Embedded Systems related fields.
- Experience with NXP, STM, Texas Instruments, ESP, Renesas microprocessors and IAR Systems compilers.
- Embedded Linux exposure.
- Strong multitasking capability.
- Assembly knowledge.
- Adaptability to multi-cultural and multi-lingual environments.
