Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating manufacturing processes for harnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop manufacturing processes for harnesses, ensuring efficiency and quality.
  • Implement and maintain a safe work environment, promoting a culture of accident prevention and investigation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement Lean Manufacturing principles and improve production processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including standard work sheets, OMS, ODS, FMEA, and DFAM.
  • Contribute to the advancement of the organization in the JCMSS and support sharing of best practices.
  • Lead and update databases to optimize production routes, times, and resource allocation.
  • Coach and mentor Manufacturing Technicians to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Industrial, Mechatronic, or Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in harness manufacturing processes.
  • 3+ years of experience with cable and wire machines and tools.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Strong knowledge of elements of continuous improvement, line balancing, capacity calculations, planning, and layout.
  • Project management experience and proven record of successful change management.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • HVAC industries experience.
  • Project Management Certification.
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience.
