**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Agent to manage all aspects of our plant supply chain, including materials, deployment, distribution, and transportation. The ideal candidate will utilize lean supply chain principles to optimize work processes and ensure strict adherence to Food Safety and Quality Standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Maximize customer fill expectations by coordinating shipments with inventory planners, business managers, and customer service teams.
- Manage internal product inventories to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
- Ensure facility, equipment, and product process requirements are met to maintain high-quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers to meet sales expectations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in PC-based computer systems and software.
**Physical Requirements**
The successful candidate will be required to stand and walk frequently, with occasional sitting, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The work environment will be fast-paced and dynamic, with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
