Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at Emerson. As a key member of our manufacturing organization, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing activities related to the design and optimization of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the manufacturing team to meet safety, sales, productivity, and cost targets.
- Define and implement multiple improvement projects for the valve area.
- Analyze problems, propose solutions, and provide written instructions when a deviation or modification of a process, material, or specification is required.
- Ensure compliance with procedures, standards, and specifications established in the quality management system and by the EHS department related to your position.
- Develop improvement projects to make processes and/or products more efficient, as well as reduce waste and costs.
- Hold information meetings on the status of the department, projects, and future plans.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manual and automated manufacturing processes or equivalent experience in mechanical, electromechanical, industrial engineering, or related.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong problem-solving capability.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment.
- Interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal skills to facilitate effective communication of technical ideas.
- Management of priorities based on verifiable data (data-driven).
- Customer-focused approach (internal and external).
- Excellent analytical skills and oriented to results achievement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in continuous improvement projects (Kaizen).
- High experience in the use of problem-solving tools (Pareto analysis, 5 Whys, 6 Sigma, A3s).
- Experience with high complexity assembly items per line.
- Proven experience in calibration of control valve instrumentation (using HART devices is helpful).
