Project Manager Engineer

At Te Connectivity, we're seeking a skilled Project Manager Engineer to lead our cross-functional engineering projects. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions to ensure projects meet financial, schedule, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex projects from initiation to closure, using good judgment and escalating issues to management as needed.
  • Create project schedules, budgets, and scopes, executing programs to PMO and customer standards.
  • Identify and remove resource constraints, presenting project summaries to management, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Achieve on-time delivery project performance objectives and report progress.
  • Oversee, contribute, and maintain action items in technical conversations with the core team.
  • Manage project scheduling and gap closure requirements, holding team members accountable.
  • Achieve scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Participate in and lead Phase Gate Reviews, resolving project conflicts and establishing escalation paths.
  • Clearly communicate roles, expectations, and accountabilities to team members.
  • Promote best practices in project management and report progress to Sponsor and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to coordinate product/process changes, ensuring compliance with legal, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Maintain data integrity, updating all information as needed.
  • Prepare business cases for projects and budgets (CAPEX, OPEX, ROI).
  • Contribute to or lead continuous improvement initiatives to address systematic issues on projects.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Lead multi-functional and multi-cultural teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or associated degree in engineering, certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in transfers of processes or equipment, knowledge of manufacturing processes, and business acumen.
