In this role, you will play a key contribution to the overall global success of our company and in the Region North America.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen global supply bases to identify technical & commercial white spots & opportunities and drive localization into NA
  • Drive acquisition activities for worldwide customers in the Region North America
  • Perform cost-oriented supplier research for new technologies and introduce them to PUR & R&D
  • Run commercial supplier ratings, initiate & execute supplier development strategies
  • Run design for - manufacturing (DFM )& cost (DTC) workshops to secure producible cost-effective products
  • Co-operate with the Advanced Value Engineering team for new technologies
  • Co-operate with Supplier Quality Management team and R&D department to prepare and perform supplier selections
  • Part of defining local supplier strategy and local benchmark activities in cooperation with Central Purchasing
  • Drive expert leadership in order to improve component value with focus on positive commercial effects
  • Perform early technical & commercial alignments with suppliers (ESI) to reach the overall value sweet spot
  • Manage our supplier base to fulfill contracted timing and quality from nomination until SOP and Ramp-up of international customer projects
  • Drive technical & commercial gap closure (cost reduction programs)
Requirements:
  • Open-minded & passionate person
  • Completed studies with a (technical-)commercial background
  • Gained experiences in the relevant field of work, ideally in the area of supplier management or industrial engineering for mechanical components
  • Confident in the co-work with Suppliers
  • Fluent English language skills (written & spoken)
  • Project Management capabilities
  • Willing to travel (approx. 20%)
