Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist will execute administrative and purchasing activities for the LATAM region, ensuring alignment with approved processes. This role will manage supplier registrations, purchasing processes, and commodity agreements, working closely with the Global Suppliers Management team and LATAM Procurement Manager.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supplier Management: Register and manage suppliers in the Oracle system, reviewing and approving new requests and reactivating on-hold suppliers as needed.
  • Purchasing Process: Conduct competitiveness and negotiate commodity agreements, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
  • Commodity Sourcing: Identify and engage new commodity suppliers in the region, meeting specifications defined by management.
  • Financial Management: Validate invoices and initiate payment processes in coordination with the AP team.
  • Database Management: Maintain the supplier database, working closely with the LATAM Procurement Manager.
  • Collaboration: Interact with the Operations team to provide commodities supplies and support their requirements.
Requirements
  • Purchasing Knowledge: Strong understanding of purchasing services in the LATAM market, including knowledge of official regulations.
  • Accounting Principles: Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
  • Communication and Planning: Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with a high capacity to face tight deadlines and fulfill corporate procedures.
  • Teamwork: Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively to achieve goals.
