Economist I

We are seeking a highly skilled Economist I to join our US Macroeconomic Service team. As an Economist I, you will play a critical role in producing a monthly forecast of the US economy.

1. Maintain Historical Databanks: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of our structural macroeconomic forecasting model by maintaining historical databanks.
2. Write Analytical Reports: Write recurring analytical reports on high-frequency macroeconomic indicators, providing valuable insights to our clients.
3. Support Senior Staff: Assist senior US Macroeconomic staff in preparing presentations and reports, contributing to the development of our monthly US Macroeconomic forecast.
4. Co-Author Forecast Chapters: Collaborate with senior staff to co-author chapters for our monthly US Macroeconomic forecast, showcasing your expertise and analytical skills.
5. Manage Client Requests: Help manage client requests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring timely responses to their inquiries.

1. Strong Analytical Skills: Possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely in English.
2. Independent Work Style: Demonstrate the ability to work independently, diligently, and efficiently in a deadline-driven workplace.
3. Econometrics and Programming Skills: Have good econometrics skills and strong programming skills, with experience in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
4. Education and Language: Hold a Bachelor's degree at a minimum, with a preference for a degree in Economics. Fluency in English is required.
