About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Warehousing & Logistics Manager to lead and support the tactical deployment and execution of warehousing and logistics initiatives in Mexico.
- The successful candidate will work across operational functions to execute transformational initiatives including Vendor Managed Inventory process design, material flow, equipment and automation improvements, metrics design and implementation, and labor utilization initiatives.
- Support the Warehouse Transformation Leader for 3PL selections, awards, and commercial agreements development for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) operations in Mexico.
- Act as a liaison between Carrier global operations leadership, Mexico factory leadership, and Mexico warehousing and 3rd party warehousing and transportation providers.
- Establish physical warehouse space, characteristics, and features required to support VMI activities with high utilization rates.
- Develop and implement best-in-class VMI operating metrics related to inventory performance, material supplier performance, 3PL service performance, and factory attainment.
- Review operational KPIs and factory schedule attainment related to material availability; identify root cause drivers of underperforming processes or functions and lead corrective actions to close gaps.
- Collaborate with factory operations leadership to support process improvement using quality management and Lean Principles methodology.
- Support warehouse cost productivity traction and controls.
- Participate in transportation service performance reviews and take action to resolve performance gaps attributed to Mexico warehousing and logistics operations.
