**Salary:** $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Labor Relations Director to join our team in Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and directing Employee Relations strategies, influencing local leaders and ensuring consistent application across Micron.

The ideal candidate will have eight years of work experience in Employee Relations, preferably in manufacturing or technology, with leadership positions and exposure to Mexico and US industries. Direct experience in labor relations, with a strong understanding of Mexican and US labor law and practices, particularly in Jalisco, and global labor standards and issues is required.

**Key Responsibilities:*

  • Develop and direct Employee Relations strategies to ensure compliance with global policies and procedures.
  • Lead workplace investigations in accordance with global policies and procedures.
  • Respond to employee issues, grievances, and disputes, escalating as required and ensuring quality communication and documentation.
  • Provide ER expertise, consultation, and market insights on the labor environment in Mexico, including benchmarking industry best practices and monitoring trends in labor standards, laws, and government regulations.

**Requirements:**

  • Eight years of work experience in Employee Relations, preferably in manufacturing or technology, with leadership positions and exposure to Mexico and US industries.
  • Direct experience in labor relations, with a strong understanding of Mexican and US labor law and practices, particularly in Jalisco, and global labor standards and issues.
  • Critical thinking skills, sense of urgency, independent decision making, exacting standards of compliance, and passion about doing the right thing for the company and its people.
  • Strong people skills, good command of written and spoken English, effective communication skills, ability to influence and build trusting relationships.
  • Able to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, manage conflict, and travel to North America locations as needed.
