About the Role

We are seeking a talented Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our high-performing team at VASS Mexico.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the development and adoption of cloud-first solutions that deliver business outcomes and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable cloud solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration and efficient resource utilization.
  • Apply cloud infrastructure knowledge to design patterns, continuous integration, and continuous deployment, driving efficiency and innovation in our cloud ecosystem.
  • Lead the development and adoption of cloud-first solutions, collaborating with product leads, scrum masters, and business customers to define feature specifications and build next-generation digital solutions.
  • Monitor for vulnerabilities and troubleshoot performance issues by implementing alert strategies for production environments, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Provision AWS environments using infrastructure-as-code and partner with development teams to design robust deployment and patching strategies, ensuring secure and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to provision environments, configure services, and perform capacity planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Participate in support rotation, respond to system health alerts, and triage issues alongside helpdesk, managed services, and cloud ops teams, providing exceptional customer support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience in multiple IT disciplines, including systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, and integration.
  • At least 3 years of experience in building and maintaining public cloud infrastructure, preferably on AWS, with a willingness to upskill in other public cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with provisioning resources using infrastructure as code (IaC), solid experience with Bash and/or PowerShell scripting, and expertise in handling CI/CD integrations with GitHub or equivalent.
  • Understanding of modern DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipeline processes, with experience in deploying infrastructure and applications on public cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker containers, good operating system level debugging skills, and solid oral and written communication skills, business acumen, and enterprise knowledge.
