Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in Valeo, San Luis Potosi.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols for maintenance operations, including LOTO procedures.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new team members, including temporary staff.
  • Organize and schedule training sessions to ensure team members are knowledgeable about procedures, tools, and standards.
  • Facilitate training on Line QRQC, Maintenance QRQC, and the use of red tags.
  • Assess the flexibility and multi-skill requirements of the team and develop training plans to enhance autonomy and improvement.
  • Monitor the certification process for team members and maintain an updated flexibility grid.
  • Manage daily operations, including absenteeism, holiday schedules, safety compliance, environmental risk assessments, and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Conduct monthly meetings to track objectives and ensure personnel engagement.
  • Perform annual evaluations and salary reviews.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives such as ERIM and TPM.

Standards Maintenance

  • Conduct daily on-the-job training (OJT) to uphold implemented standards.
  • Enforce health, safety, environmental, and site regulations within the team.
  • Ensure the availability of updated maintenance work instructions.
  • Guarantee adherence to all operational standards, including safety, quality, and preventive maintenance, while proposing improvements.
  • Collaborate with team members to define work standards.
  • Ensure proper deployment of ERIM standards, including root cause analysis and preventive maintenance training.

Maintenance Task Management

  • Oversee the completion of maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to KPIs.
  • Prepare and communicate scheduled maintenance tasks to minimize production disruptions.
  • Implement quick response measures for reliability issues to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Allocate resources effectively for corrective actions to minimize operational stoppages.
  • Define and implement actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Respond to and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Support the team in resolving significant technical challenges.

Continuous Improvement Leadership

  • Lead initiatives to enhance the performance of the maintenance department, focusing on maximizing equipment availability.
  • Engage in performance monitoring and improvement activities, including cycle time assessments.
  • Foster a dynamic and efficient system for proposing improvements.
  • Contribute to reducing safety and environmental risks.
  • Lead Safety QRQC initiatives for incidents involving maintenance personnel.
  • Assist in the industrialization and startup of new equipment and processes.
  • Participate in Maintenance QRQC activities.
  • Facilitate PDCA/FTA and Maintenance 5 WHYs for assigned topics.
  • Prepare LLC and Kaizen Cards.
  • Contribute to maintenance budget planning and suggest organizational enhancements.
  • Promote the Valeo 5 axes in daily operations and develop improvement plans across various metrics.
