Market Strategist

About the Role

The Market Planner plays a critical role in driving business growth and ensuring supply chain efficiency at Coty Mexico. This position is responsible for estimating future product demand, managing inventory at the country level, and developing forecast models.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts through the S&OP cycle, identifying risks and opportunities to the plan and recommending actions to close the gap.
• Drive and conduct S&OP meetings to ensure issues and potential risks around DSI are addressed properly and timely.
• Provide visibility on past performance and support assumptions for outlook, as well as portfolio management opportunities.
• Collaborate with customers, sales teams, overseas plant planning teams, and logistics to improve forecast accuracy.
• Provide portfolio trend analysis to mitigate risk or explore opportunities impacting costs or revenues.
• Ensure end-to-end supply chain planning to support top-line sales and business growth.
• Maintain close contact with global supply chain teams and effectively escalate support for priority cases.
• Own the communication strategy to customers and sales teams about product availability and possible supply issues.
• Assess the financial structure and inventory storage capabilities of the business.
• Anticipate stock requests based on market trends and business assumptions.
• Monitor the movement of materials through purchasing, storage, production, and retail distribution.
• Jointly manage inventory levels to ensure quality, meet defined targets, and deliver high standards of customer service.
• Work closely with marketing and trade marketing teams on promotions plans and build accurate volume projections into forecasts.
• Manage NPI/NPD projects to ensure timely launching per defined schedule scope.
• Provide support to sales and marketing teams in developing seasonal demand forecasts based on historic trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• +3 years of experience as a Demand Planner, Supply Planner, or CPFR Senior.
• Integrity and accountability, operating with the highest ethical standards.
• Detailed working knowledge of effective supply chain performance, including operations management.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to judge when to deep dive.
• Significant experience of prioritization and ability to adapt to change.
• Proven stakeholder management skills, including influencing, communication, negotiating, and conflict management.
• Results-oriented, creative, practical, analytical, attention to detail, self-motivated, and a team player.
• Demonstrated ability for sound decision making while working under pressure in critical situations.
• Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Excel, and demand programs.
• Excel advanced level.
• English fluently.
