Currently, we are seeking a motivated and results-oriented individual to fill the role of Supplier Development Engineer within our organization.
POSITION OVERVIEWThe Supplier Development Engineer operates at a professional level to guarantee that component parts and products are consistently produced in full compliance with specified standards. This role requires a solid understanding of product and process engineering, as well as leadership in enhancing supplier operations to achieve reductions in lead time, inventory, and overall costs while ensuring ergonomically sound workstations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Define and monitor corrective and preventive measures to minimize supplier rejections.
- Conduct on-site assessments and provide assistance to suppliers to enhance their performance in alignment with corporate objectives regarding quality, cost, and responsiveness.
- Participate in the approval and verification of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for on-site providers.
- Review supplier designs to ensure compliance with specified tolerances.
- Perform on-site verification of production containment and run rate metrics.
- Administer the supplier development system effectively.
- Conduct visits to suppliers for PPAP approvals.
- Utilize quality statistical tools in evaluations.
- Assess vendor machinery and equipment to identify repair and replacement needs.
- Develop specifications and capability plans as required, ensuring compliance with component drawings.
- Adhere to the Environmental Management System responsibilities and safety protocols as outlined by the organization.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive sector, particularly as a Supplier Quality Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer with a strong focus on quality.
- Familiarity with IATF and ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Knowledge of VDA 6.1 is a plus.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and GD&T.
- Experience in Supplier Quality System Management.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities, with a focus on project timelines and deliverables.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficient problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of core tools and their application.
- Technical expertise in machining, forging, sintering, and bearings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Bilingual proficiency is preferred.
