Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supply chain recovery strategies to drive performance improvements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and countermeasure root causes of supply chain disruptions.
  • Evaluate supplier capacity and develop countermeasures to ensure Polaris demand is met.
  • Utilize lean methodologies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce disruptions.
  • Communicate progress to Global Operations and BU leadership through regular reporting.
  • Manage emerging issues with suppliers and develop recovery timelines.
  • Act as an escalated presence with suppliers to drive urgency while maintaining strong partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of purchasing or relevant experience, including project management and leadership.
  • 2+ years of direct leadership experience or proven leadership ability to build effective teams.
  • Cross-functional project management experience required.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, with ability to manage complex projects across multiple departments and sites.
  • Knowledge of commodity/category management, purchasing contracts, and internet-based purchasing desired.
  • Value analysis ability to analyze systems and develop comprehensive plans for improvement.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and firm schedules.
  • Ability to understand data structure and develop queries for metrics development and reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills at all levels, including Sr. Executives.
  • Decisive and prone to action, with a quality-oriented and customer-focused approach.
  • Strong process orientation with general understanding of Lean Principles.
  • Experienced in presentation abilities, including PowerPoint development.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced, dynamic culture with up to 30% travel throughout the year.
  • Position based out of the Monterrey, Mexico Polaris facility.
