About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Data System Lead to join our team at ICON Plc. As a Clinical Data System Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of clinical systems and technologies to support clinical trials and drive operational excellence within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of clinical trial systems, including electronic data capture (EDC) and clinical trial management systems (CTMS), to ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality.
  • Technical Expertise: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather system requirements, define workflows, and ensure system functionality aligns with study protocols and regulatory requirements, leveraging your expertise in clinical trial systems such as Medidata Rave, Oracle InForm, or Veeva Vault.
  • Project Management: Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and end-users on clinical trial systems, troubleshooting issues and providing training as needed, to ensure successful project delivery and minimal impact on ongoing trial operations.
  • System Management: Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing trial operations and maintaining system stability and performance.
  • Data Standards and Best Practices: Support the development and implementation of data standards and best practices for clinical trial systems, ensuring consistency and quality across all systems and processes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in clinical trial system implementation and management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills, with proficiency in clinical trial systems such as Medidata Rave, Oracle InForm, or Veeva Vault.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
