Job Summary:
The Purchasing Supervisor will oversee the team of buyers and work with suppliers, production, materials, and inventory management to ensure the appropriate materials are available to meet the production schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, direct, and control activities related to the Purchasing function.
- Prepare instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
- Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability.
- Supervise buyer-purchasing standard work.
- Lead Purchasing activities and inventory management.
- Monitor PO placement, expediting, and have conferences with suppliers and Lean alignment.
- Interact with Engineering and Quality departments on new products and/or revisions to existing products as well as quality parts.
- Serve as the Purchasing ethics/compliance representative.
- Supervise external and internal compliance audits.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree completed.
-5+ years of experience in a related Purchasing role.
-At least 2 years of experience in a leadership position.
-Previous Supply Chain experience (planner, buyer/procurement, warehouse).
-Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software.
-2 years of experience in SAP-material master/MM.
-Business/conversational English is a must due to the nature of the role.
