We are seeking a highly experienced Container Terminal Operations Director to oversee all intermodal activities such as gate and rail operations at our container terminal. This role is responsible for managing the inbound and outbound movement of containers via the Federal Public Service (gate) and railway modes, acting as a liaison between customers, government authorities, shipping lines, trucking, and rail transport companies.

  • Operational Execution: Ensure the smooth execution of daily tasks, focusing on maximizing productivity across Gate, Inspections, and Rail areas, while effectively utilizing equipment and personnel.
  • Logistics Planning: Oversee internal logistics to guarantee uninterrupted operations at the gate and rail areas.

This role requires strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive process improvements for gate operations, inspections, and rail functions. The ideal candidate will have experience leading cross-functional teams and developing operational strategies to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas adhere to strict safety protocols and create a safe work environment for all personnel. Additionally, they will need to build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders such as trucking companies, customs brokers, shipping lines, port authorities, and government agencies.
