Overview


Pfizer is seeking a skilled Clinical Science Specialist to join our team in Oncology Product Development. As a key member of our group, you will play a vital role in delivering updated scientific information to healthcare professionals.



About the Role


The successful candidate will be responsible for providing essential medical and technical information to health care providers, promoting product knowledge and increasing sales. This includes conducting fieldwork, interacting with key physicians, and engaging in cross-functional collaboration within the Business Unit.



Main Responsibilities



  • Provide scientific information to HCPs involved in Pfizer drugs to increase their knowledge about disease diagnosis, drug efficacy, safety, and correct use.
  • Maintain awareness of the latest medical/scientific information regarding therapeutic areas under responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and academic centers to ensure access to current medical and scientific information.
  • Prepare and develop scientific information and materials to be discussed with HCPs, supported by Medical Managers.
  • Coordinate medical events as part of the diffusion of scientific information.
  • Participate in medical educational programs and disseminate technical information regarding products and disease concepts.
  • Collaborate with Medical Managers to identify opportunities for treatment algorithm and guideline development.
  • Facilitate identification and presentation of research opportunities for consideration in support of products and customers.
  • Support the implementation of local protocol development and administration for proposals to be supported.
  • Provide information to local experts to assist in keeping presentations current and ensure they have necessary medical and scientific information when responding to questions encountered during presentations.
  • Support ongoing training for the field sales force, personnel, and others, providing up-to-date knowledge of product uses and external data.
  • Serve as a local medical scientific resource for planning the communication of product information.
  • Attend scientific meetings, review scientific journals, and partner with Category Leads and Medical Managers to foster information on medical concepts and product usage.
  • Act in compliance with all Pfizer policies, particularly FCPA, GPIHP, and PIGO policies.
  • Provide reports and metrics supporting results aligned with medical objectives, if required by the Manager.
  • Offer administrative support in ISRs if required by the Manager.


Required Skills and Qualifications


To succeed in this role, you should possess:



  • Technical skills: Microsoft Office management, English proficiency, and scientific acumen.
  • Managerial skills: Objectivity, audience management, training, and efficient communication.
  • Education: A medical degree, preferably with a specialty in Internal Medicine and/or research or molecular biology training.
  • Experience: At least +2 years of experience as an MSL or specialized physician, and/or at least 1 year in the pharmaceutical industry, mainly in contact with Medical societies of interest, in continuous interaction and scientific exchange.


Estimated Salary Range


We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, commensurate with your qualifications and experience.
