Manager of Financial Crime in Wholesale Banking

Role Overview:

The Financial Crime Investigations (FCI) unit is dedicated to addressing the financial crime risks that our organization currently faces and will encounter in the future. We are at the forefront of developing innovative techniques and utilizing advanced technology to safeguard our operations, protect our clients, and support the communities we serve against the threats posed by financial crime. FCI leverages intelligence, analytics, technological advancements, investigative processes, information sharing, and collaborations between public and private sectors to achieve its objectives, always striving for the most effective and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

The Financial Crime Compliance Advisory roles are responsible for ensuring that robust controls are established to mitigate financial crime risks. These roles provide expert guidance for policy formulation, offer advice, and assist various business units in managing financial crime risks. This ensures compliance with both global and local regulations concerning financial crimes. The responsibilities include:

  • Supporting business or regulatory projects across Wholesale and Wealth & Personal Banking (WPB) as necessary.
  • Acting as the primary contact for escalations from the Line of Business.
  • Reviewing and assisting with Client Selection and Exit Management referrals.
  • Providing insights for management information through Financial Crime Risk commentary, reviewing HELIOS data, and examining self-identified issues.
  • Contributing to the Sanctions program by reviewing relevant data and systems.
  • Offering advice and services in areas of specialization to support decision-making.
  • Complying with and actively promoting established policies and procedures within the team.
  • Facilitating and embedding change initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient knowledge in support roles.
  • Understanding of banking and financial markets.
  • Familiarity with financial crimes, AML, and sanctions.
  • Experience with financial products.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
