JOB SUMMARY

The Security Officer will ensure operations and recording of all security equipment, enforcing company security policies, procedures, and regulations to guarantee the safety of employees and visitors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Monitoring and responding to alarms and emergencies.
  • Coordinating responses to various emergency alarms such as fire, panic, chemical room, support equipment, medical, etc., by directing emergency vehicles and personnel to the location of the incident.
  • Creating complete and accurate incident reports and forwarding them to the appropriate personnel as outlined in Jabil procedures.
  • Maintaining records and filing systems, both hardcopy and electronic.
  • Maintaining key control sign out procedure and reporting any loss or problems to the Manager.
  • Answering incoming phone calls and transferring them to the appropriate personnel when required.
  • Operating and programming the CCTV (closed circuit television) control systems.
  • Creating access badges and assigning access levels as directed by the supervisor or Facilities Manager.
  • Maintaining miscellaneous logs, inspections, and other forms as required.
  • Responding appropriately to alarms and events as outlined in operating procedures.
  • Monitoring the parking lot for improperly parked or abandoned vehicles.
  • Performing security tours as outlined in procedures.
  • Adhering to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by the supervisor.
  • Complying, enforcing, and following all procedures within the company security policy.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A Class D security license must be held at the time of hire.

This role requires up to 2 years of related experience.

**The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
