We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team at Sensient Technologies. As a key member of our ingredients business, you will play a critical role in supporting our manufacturing operations and providing financial analysis and recommendations to management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Plant/Manufacturing Operations team to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Use accounting and financial analysis expertise to support management and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Ensure inventory and manufacturing controls are executed consistently.
- Perform weekly and monthly inventory reconciliations.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Post Journal Entries to General Ledger and manage accruals.
- Review spending on supplies, repair and maintenance, and labor.
- Review and publish manufacturing variances.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide summarized information to management.
- Quote manufacturing and resale products.
- Develop and maintain production metrics and statistics.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing and/or food processing business.
- Advanced level of Microsoft Office Excel required.
- Possesses a positive attitude and ability to hit the ground running.
