Job Summary

Sensata Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Cost & Inventory Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for analyzing cost expenditures and purchases within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Cost Accounting System Management

Develop and maintain a comprehensive cost accounting system, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial data.

Cost Analysis and Optimization

Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs and recommend cost-efficient solutions.

Inventory Management

Review costs for all external inventory, labor, and material purchases, and ensure accurate recording and updating of existing and new purchased materials and goods.

Financial Reporting

Prepare and complete internal cost audits, and present cost estimates and budgets for new purchases to management.

Cost Savings and Efficiency

Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings opportunities, and identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.

Requirements
  1. Education and Experience

A university degree and 4-6 years of experience, or a graduate degree and 2-4 years of experience, or a higher-level degree and 0-2 years of experience.

Skills and Qualifications

Strong communication skills, oral, written, and presentation; strong organization, planning, and time management skills to achieve results; strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity; and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Teamwork and Collaboration

Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including suppliers and/or external customers, and hold self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.
