Compliance Specialist for Global Tax Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled International Tax Manager to join our team at Cambridge University Press & Assessment. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation, filing, and review of federal and state tax returns.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and communicate developments in tax legislation to management.
- Supervise local accountants to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Oversee tax compliance, governance, and control in the region.
- Conduct tax risk identification and mitigation.
- Coordinate transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions analysis from a tax perspective.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data, and review financial reports or statements.
- Prepare tax projections and deferred tax computations.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning initiatives.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax forms, including federal tax returns, VAT, and other business-related filings.
- Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
- Plan for and develop the overall tax return calendar, coordinating timing and inputs with the tax team.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced tax professional with a strong background in international finance and tax operations. The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. English B mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, compliance, and procedures for corporations.
- Familiarity with transfer pricing reporting requirements.
- Strong experience with a variety of tax operations.
- Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
