Job Summary

This position requires a dedicated and passionate educator to lead a 5th grade classroom and provide a supportive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in elementary education and be able to develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver instructional activities that promote active learning and student engagement.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and meet the needs of all students.
  • Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect, empathy, and open communication.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and involve them in the educational process.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs that support student learning and well-being.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Elementary Education or a related field.
  • South Carolina teaching certification in Elementary Education.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum standards and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Work Environment

This position is located in a school setting and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands and priorities. The ideal candidate will be able to manage their time effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion.
