About the Role

The Detection team at Google Inc. is responsible for developing and maintaining signals, tools, and infrastructure to detect and respond to sophisticated threats. As a Security Engineering Manager, Threat Detection, you will lead a team responsible for intrusion detection and incident response, inspiring and growing talent while providing direction and leading effectively through outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of security professionals responsible for detecting and responding to malicious activity on Google's networks.
  • Collaborate with partner teams in Security, Engineering, and other departments to develop and execute strategy for detecting and responding to evolving threats.
  • Conduct ongoing detailed data analysis and risk assessment to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies to ensure the team's skills and knowledge are current and relevant.
