Job Overview

The role involves providing financial oversight and guidance on designated single-country, single-service projects, ensuring that financial aspects are effectively monitored and managed to enhance project profitability and cash flow.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough monthly evaluations and analyses of assigned projects, focusing on revenue recognition, performance variances, and unbilled/unearned positions.
  • Review and authorize work movements and modifications, as well as final revenue adjustments for the projects under your purview.
  • Ensure that project journals, write-offs, and financial modifications are meticulously documented, reviewed, and sanctioned.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting for assigned projects, including unsigned contract opportunities, backlog assessments, and other necessary financial analyses.
  • Monitor unbilled, write-off activities, and exceptions related to contract activation, addressing any unusual occurrences promptly.

Additionally, you will:

  • Oversee the integration of global project budgets into the financial management system, ensuring accuracy against contracted values.
  • Manage the loading of payment schedules, ensuring compliance with negotiated contract terms.
  • Coordinate the configuration of Project and Contract modules, including the assignment of Rate Sets/Plans to Activities.
  • Review rate exception reports and work with the Global Project Services Group to resolve any issues swiftly.
  • Ensure the completion of the Project Check-off list throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor compliance reports to guarantee timely revenue and billing deliverables.
  • Execute project close-out procedures and communicate project status to the Global Project Services Support Group.
  • Conduct reconciliations for unbilled/unearned amounts as necessary.
  • Fulfill assigned Monthly and Quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley reporting obligations.
  • May take on additional responsibilities for specific projects or clients.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting or project finance preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition, variance analysis, unbilled/unearned management, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Peoplesoft Project.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Technical accounting expertise.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Capacity to exercise judgment within established procedures and practices.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
