Marketing Coordinator for Ice Cream Business

Job Summary
Unilever is seeking a talented Marketing Coordinator for our Ice Cream business to define and implement the strategic direction for our OOH category. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing category strategies, optimizing our product portfolio, and collaborating closely with brand managers to uphold brand consistency across regions and target audiences.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the overarching category strategy for the OOH and IC business segment, leveraging market insights and consumer trends to drive growth and profitability.
- Optimize the product portfolio within the OOH category, including SKU rationalization, innovation, and line extensions, to meet the evolving needs of customers.
- Design and execute seasonal marketing and promotional activations tailored to the OOH and IC channels, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with brand objectives.
- Conduct regional market assessments to identify opportunities for portfolio expansion and activation initiatives, customizing strategies to reflect local preferences and market dynamics.
- Collaborate closely with brand managers to ensure consistency in brand positioning, messaging, and target audience segmentation across regional portfolio and activation strategies.
- Translate brand guidelines and strategies into actionable plans and executions that resonate with regional audiences while maintaining brand identity and values.
- Provide input and insights on regional segmentation nuances, helping to tailor marketing efforts and activation plans to effectively reach and engage specific consumer segments.
- Identify and explore innovative models of communication to engage consumers across the brand funnel, leveraging emerging technologies, platforms, and trends.
- Integrate performance marketing tactics and strategies into experimental initiatives to track and optimize campaign performance, including but not limited to paid media, search engine marketing, and social media advertising.
- Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reports on the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives, driving continuous improvement and optimization.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing across regions to leverage best practices and optimize portfolio and activation strategies on a global scale.
Requirements:
The successful candidate for the OOH Category Strategy Expert role must embody the principles of consumer-centricity and possess a founder's mindset. This means putting the customer at the heart of everything they do, understanding their needs, desires, and aspirations to create truly remarkable ice cream experiences. They should embrace a sense of ownership and accountability, approaching challenges with an entrepreneurial spirit and an unwavering determination to turn ideas into reality.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in category management, or marketing strategy within the FMCG or Startup industry, with a focus on Out-of-Home channels and/or DSD operations.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in performance measurement and analysis tools.
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute long-term brand strategies while also being agile and adaptable to changing market conditions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to navigate complex projects and deliver results with tight deadlines.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at leading through uncertainty, bringing a sense of adventure and curiosity to every challenge.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey your vision, influence stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across departments.
- A strong entrepreneurial spirit, always. This role requires being closely integrated with our operational teams, working directly with them rather than from a traditional office setting. You will be immersed in our day-to-day operations to ensure alignment between brand strategy and execution.
