About the Job

We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves interacting with residential and commercial clients via phone, resolving issues, providing general customer support, and offering additional products and services when appropriate.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls in a courteous, timely, and professional manner.
  • Ensure first-call resolution by troubleshooting problems and handling calls effectively.
  • Investigate systems to find missing information as needed; coordinate with other departments to resolve issues when necessary.
  • Document customer complaints accurately and process them in relevant systems.
  • Lead research discussions to determine the best options for customers.
  • Utilize knowledge bases and training to respond accurately to customer inquiries, following all guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Meet requirements related to confidential information and personal data.
  • Escalate customer issues to relevant personnel and managers for resolution as needed.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions and review new training materials to stay up-to-date on program changes, systems, and processes.
  • Meet all attendance and work schedule requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills.
  • Ability to write quickly and accurately (over 20 words per minute).
  • Basics Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of the Windows operating system.
  • Highly reliable, able to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues.
  • Aptitude for conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiation.
  • Customer service-oriented (empathetic, receptive, patient, and meticulous).
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks, remain focused, and self-manage.
  • Strong team player with a focus on customer-centricity.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where change and ambiguity are prevalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Fluency in English reading and speaking.

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 annually, based on experience, plus a variety of benefits and incentives to support and reward our team members. Our compensation and benefits packages are designed to grow with you over time.

Additional Information

This role will be based in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be primarily sedentary and required to sit/stand for extended periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will regularly operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. Occasionally, the employee may be required to move around the office to complete tasks; reach in any direction; lift or carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
