About the Role

At Alcon Mx, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for analyzing financial information, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare all financial reports.
  • Maintain or oversee the control of accounts and records in areas such as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy.
  • Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements, as well as consolidate financial statements and other accounting schedules and reports.
  • Design, modify, implement, and/or maintain accounting systems to ensure adequate recognition of financial transactions.
  • Responsible for adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls.
  • May prepare written technical accounting and financial reporting position papers for review.
Requirements
  • Certified Finance/Accounting specialist or similar degree.
  • Languages: Spanish and English fluently.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of financial experience, with good functional expertise.
  • JDE and SAP knowledge.
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization.
  • Previous experience in managing Financial Services.
  • Focus on results. Good people skills.
