Responsibilities- Administer and implement standardized database management procedures for Snowflake and Databricks databases.
- Design and implement high-performing and highly available data warehouse solutions.
- Create database, schema, tables, views, data sharing, data pipelines.
- Identify, tune, and fix performance issues on priority.
- Implement security, roles, users, and privileges using best practices.
- Provide database/objects recovery as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest features and best practices in Snowflake/Databricks administration.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or information technology.
- 5+ years of experience as a database administrator.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on administration experience, from setting up Databricks/Snowflake environments to successfully administering them (AWS preferred).
- Experience automating, scripting, and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracy utilizing Unix shell scripting, Windows BAT, Python, etc.
- Some experience with AWS with knowledge of S3, EC2, IAM, Security, Lambda, Networking, etc.
- Ability and experience with developing processes and procedures to standardize Database installations and configuration.
- Extensive experience with implementation and maintenance of Disaster Recovery and High Availability.
- Experience with various database platforms like Oracle, SQL Server, SAP Hana, db2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo will be helpful as well.
- Experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Git/GitHub, Kafka is a plus.
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. The salary range reflects the level of expertise required for this position and the potential impact it can have on our organization.
