Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Acquisitions, Investments and Financial Advisory (AIFA) team in Mexico. As a Junior Financial Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the valuation and risk analysis of new projects, developing financial models, and structuring and executing M&A and project financing transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in business development activities from project origination to implementation, focusing on economic valuation, risk-return tradeoff, and financial aspects.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support investment decisions, ensuring accuracy and correct incorporation of relevant inputs.
- Propose and implement sensitivity analysis for investment files.
- Develop, analyze, and recommend financing options for business development projects or other funding needs.
- Support internal approvals process for new economic commitments and associated financing arrangements.
- Identify main project economic and financial risks and advise on mitigation factors and contingencies.
- Support the valuation of existing assets as part of annual asset impairment testing.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance or Economics, with professional qualifications such as CFA, CIMA, ACA, or ACCA.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the energy sector, banking, Big 4, or investment funds.
- Outstanding analytical skills and expertise in developing and utilizing detailed financial models.
- Good understanding of project finance and M&A transactions, including structuring and closing transactions.
- Commercial acumen with good understanding of accounting topics and tax structures.
- Language skills: Good command of English and Spanish.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- Proven flexible team player with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Behavioral capabilities: self-motivated, problem-solving, detail-oriented, assertive, pragmatic, and sense of humor.
